This certification is divided to 7 sections covering both standard scopes in reference to API 936 and API 982. Upon completion of the course, all students should be well prepared for the official API 936 and API 982 exams. Whether or not the students choose to take the exam, all the information processed during the course will be a fundamental stepping-stone in the understanding of the refractory process, applications and specifications covered in all industries throughout the world. These may include light-, heavy industrial, chemical processing, petrochemical, oil refineries, pharmaceuticals, coal, steel, waste processing, aluminums, differing metals, glass, ceramics, plastics, brick, cements, etc.. In fact any process industry requiring refractories and insulation materials for use in heaters, boilers, furnaces, kilns etc.
